Hooikammer is back
Tuesday 14 March 2017
Since 1 March this year, Hooikammer Autoberging has been the IM recovery operator on the A28 and A32 motorways between Staphorst and Wolvega. The same company was active in this area in the past, and at that time established a reputation as one of the country's fastest recovery operators. The return of Hooikammer results from the decision by Wolves Berging to withdraw from Friesland and the surrounding area.

In 2004, Director Jan Berend Hooikammer set up his business in Staphorst on the premises of the former recovery company De Redder. He himself works as a recovery driver as well as being a versatile entrepreneur with activities involving car transport and the trade in recovery vehicles. Since 2009, he has also been owner of Fidron, a company responsible for seizing vehicles on behalf of banks, lease companies and official receivers, throughout the Netherlands.

During the first quarter, a new recovery operator was also contracted in three other IM districts. The changes were the consequence of below-standard performance by the originally contracted parties. An overview of all changes appears in the table below. In the districts in question, slightly more than 1% of the national total volume of IM reports was dealt with in 2016.
