Procurement procedure in part of the country not yet complete

An appeal has been lodged against certain award decisions in the procurement procedure for vehicle recovery agreements for the contract period 2023 - 2026. The appeal relates to the award decisions of 7 June in 57 districts in which the procurement procedure had been deferred until that point. The table below provides an overview. The procedure has been completed in all other districts.

Interim injunction proceedings will be held in The Hague on 14 September. This means that in the districts concerned, no definitive award decision can be taken before 1 October 2023. The time that elapses until the decision in interim injunction proceedings is handed down, plus the subsequent period of four weeks in which that decision is open to appeal must be taken into account, together with the required preparations on the part of the recovery company in the event of the decision leading to a change in the original award decisions.

Districts without definitive award decisions

Against this background, Stichting IMN has decided to extend the existing recovery agreement in these districts by three months, i.e. until 1 January 2024. In all other districts, the 2023 - 2026 Recovery Agreement will come into force on 1 October 2023.
