Bart Boere, new chair of Stichting IMN

Bart Boere, managing director of Eurocross Assistance, was appointed chair of Stichting IMN on 26 March of this year. He was also asked to take up this position in 2022, immediately after his appointment as director of Eurocross. Boere said he would prefer to gain experience in the assistance of motorists before accepting the post of chair. Peter Varenkamp, director of the Insurers Assistance Service (VHD), agreed to act as chair in the intervening period.

Bart Boere

Bart Boere did his national service in 1995, in the Royal Netherlands Navy. In 1996, he started his career path as a trainee at ING Bank. At first, he worked for the banking side of the operation; then, from 2006, he held various commercial positions at insurer Nationale Nederlanden. In 2013, Boere moved to the Achmea group company Centraal Beheer. In his last position there, he had commercial responsibility for personal indemnity insurance claims. Bart Boere was made managing director of Eurocross, the Achmea response centre, in July 2022. He joined the board of Stichting IMN at the same time.
