Good arrival times in very busy first quarter
Tuesday 29 May 2018 (update 28 august 2018)
IM recovery operators scored well during the first quarter of 2018. 20,661 recovery operations were undertaken with an average arrival time of 13:14 minutes (11:37 minutes following deduction of delays as a result of congestion). This brings arrival times back to the very high level achieved during the first three quarters of 2017. This excellent performance was delivered despite a major increase in workload. The total number of IM orders, including wasted journeys, was 22% higher in the first three months of this year than in 2017. With 10,395 IM orders, March was in fact the busiest month ever. Particularly the cold snap at the start of the month resulted in much work.

In 21 districts, all recovery operations were undertaken within the standard time of twenty minutes during the day and twenty-five minutes at night. The recovery operators responsible included a number for whom this achievement was a first, for example Bergingscentrale H. van der Vliet in district NH137, Aalsmeer. Autohulpdienst Ben Heiltjes based in Cuijk also deserves a special mention. This company achieved perfect performance in three districts simultaneously.

The tables only list districts about which a complete quarterly report was issued in the quarter just ended. These are districts in which ten or more recoveries were carried out and districts for which the quarter just ended was the last in a series of quarters in which the minimum of ten recoveries required for drawing up a report was exceeded. Average arrival times are reported following correction for delays as a result of congestion. In determining the number of kilometres of road in each district, the two carriageways of roads with separate carriageways are counted as separate roads. No rights can be derived from the information in the tables.
