During the first quarter of 2015, the number of incident reports on IM roads was 17% higher than in the same period in 2014. Whereas 15,303 reports were received in the first quarter of 2014, in the quarter just ended the number had risen to 17,988. The growth was registered for all types of reports and all reporting bodies. The number of accidents reported for example rose by 12% to 5,941 while the number of police reports rose by 4% to 6,543. Over the past few years, both figures had previously demonstrated an almost uninterrupted downturn.

IM recovery companies have continued to deliver unabated excellent performances. The arrival times achieved were practically identical to those in the previous quarters. The average arrival time was 13:45 minutes. Corrected for delays as a consequence of congestion, the average arrival time was 12:01 minutes. In many work areas, the recovery companies outperformed the standard, as reflected in the table below. This table shows the districts in which during the quarter just ended, 95% or more of call-outs were responded to with arrival times within the 20-minute standard for daytime and 25 minutes at night. Districts in which the recovery companies arrived at the incident location within the standard time on every occasion are marked with an asterisk.
