Tendering procedure 2013 - 2016 concluded

Stichting Incident Management Nederland has now concluded the tendering procedure for the selection of IM recovery companies for the period 2013 - 2016. Over the past few days, the Appeals Committee has announced its findings in appeals submitted against the initial awarding decisions in 25 of the 207 IM districts.

In eight districts, the Appeals Committee found in favour of the appeals; six concerned applications of the so-called 30-kilometre rule. In the two other cases, the appeal referred to a question about whether the successful party fulfilled the quality requirements.

In the eight districts in question, Stichting Incident Management Nederland has now taken new awarding decisions. As a consequence, a definitive choice has been made for an IM recovery company in all IM districts in the country. An overview of the allocation of these districts to recovery companies appears in the table below. The new IM recovery companies, of which there are 93, will start work on 1 April 2013. Over the coming years, it will be their responsibility to ensure that roads are freed up for traffic as quickly as possible following any incident.
