Fast recovery companies in Q4 – 2009

In the fourth quarter of the year, remarkably good arrival times were achieved in 23 districts. An overview of the districts and the companies responsible for those arrival times appears in the list below.

For the coming contract period, the automatic registration of arrival times will become even more important than is currently the case. Starting on 1 April 2010, at the end of each quarter, recovery companies will receive a report of the arrival times achieved by them in each district. Companies failing to achieve the required arrival time may loose their agreement with Stichting Incident Management Nederland in one or more districts. The arrival times achieved over the coming period by the various recovery companies may also have consequences for assessing their bid during the next tendering round.

Stichting Incident Management Nederland aims to make quality the key deciding factor in the selection and guiding of recovery companies. This approach is in the interests of road users, since it results in a smooth handling of incidents. It is however also in the interests of the recovery companies themselves, since it creates space for rewarding good performances. A letter concerning the content of the quality policy to be implemented by Stichting Incident Management Nederland was sent today to all recovery companies contracted for the period 2010 - 2013.
