Expanded compensation facility scheme GPS equipment
Friday 9 February 2007
Rijkswaterstaat has decided to expand the facility for obtaining a contribution to the costs of installation of GPS units (Momos) in recovery vehicles. As you are aware, Rijkswaterstaat contributes € 750 to the installation of every Momo in certified vehicles of recovery companies contracted by Stichting Incident Management Nederland, for the period 2007 - 2010.
To date, the rule stated that the compensation was only available for vehicles of which the registration was listed on the certificate submitted in the tender procedure. In the new system, the scheme will apply to all certified vehicles registered with Stichting Incident Management Nederland before 1 April 2007. The following rules apply:
- the scheme applies only to companies with one or more contracts with Stichting Incident Management Nederland for the period 2007 - 2010
- registration of a certified vehicle is only possible by submitting a certificate from a certifying body approved by the Stichting (before 1 April 2007) listing the registration numbers of all certified vehicles. Inspection reports from individual recovery vehicles will not be accepted.
- the maximum number of vehicles for which the scheme applies may not exceed the number of certified vehicles owned by the recovery company according to the last submitted certificate
- in as much as recovery companies themselves have taken on obligations (orders and/or payments) for the installation of Momos which according to the old scheme would not have been eligible for a contribution but which are eligible within the new scheme, these can be revised according to the principles of the new scheme. In as much as recovery companies have already made payments for Momos which are eligible for a contribution according to the new scheme, any excess amount paid can be reclaimed from EAL. In as much as invoices have already been received, any excess invoiced amount will be neutralised by the sending of a credit note from EAL.
