Police to continue to report to LCM

Monday 23 January 2012
The Dutch Association of Chief Constables has called upon all police incident rooms to continue to systematically notify the LCM of all accident reports on IM roads. The Association sent a letter at the end of last year to all police forces in which this instruction was unequivocally issued.

The impression emerged during the course of last year that accidents on IM roads reported on the emergency number 112 are no longer always passed on to the National Central Reporting Point ("LCM") operated by Stichting Incident Management Nederland. When any such report is received, the LCM immediately calls in the locally-contracted recovery service. Over the coming months, Stichting Incident Management Nederland will be consulting with the incident rooms on the way in which the instruction from the Association of Chief Constables can best be put into practice.
