Roadside inspections

Over the next few months, Stichting Incident Management Nederland will be organising inspections of recovery vehicles and recovery drivers. In response to one or more IM reports, when arriving at the scene of the incident, all 88 certified IM recovery companies will not find a damaged vehicle, but an employee of Vianorm, the company responsible for carrying out the inspections. Vianorm will ask the IM recovery companies to cooperate in a number of individual checks. The inspectors will focus primarily on the quality of the called-out recovery vehicle, and the training of the driver.

Stichting Incident Management Nederland asks all IM recovery companies to cooperate with this inspection programme. Calls relating to an inspection can be submitted to the LCM as wasted call-outs.
