Criteria for recognition of recovery training programmes

Wednesday 28 June 2006
The Stichting has imposed the requirement that all recovery operations undertaken on its behalf are carried out by drivers who have completed training for carrying out work in the framework of recovery of passenger vehicles on IM roads. As you are aware, in this connection, earlier this year, the Stichting recognised one specific training programme, namely the recovery training offered by Fundeon. This approval was issued following a thorough inspection by the Stichting of the course programme offered by Fundeon.

The Stichting has since been approached by various sector organisations and training institutes with their own initiatives for providing recovery training. To guarantee the uniformity of the training policy at Stichting Incident Management Nederland, the decision has been taken to lay down and publish the criteria on the basis of which the Stichting can recognise recovery training programmes. These criteria can be downloaded here.

Actual recognition will only take place on the basis of a decision by the Board of Stichting Incident Management Nederland.
